Threshold Giving is hiring entry-level Field Canvassers and Children's Health Advocates in partnership with Boston Children's Hospital. You'll do outdoor and street-based field outreach. No prior experience is necessary as we provide paid training for our Advocates.

As a Children's Health Advocate and Fundraiser for BCH, you’ll be the trusted voice in your community — engaging the public, answering questions, and inspiring support for children who need lifesaving answers.

Your Role as a Face-to-Face Canvasser and Entry-Level Advocate

You’ll help grow a community of monthly partners whose support powers care and research at BCH. Through personal conversations on busy streets, at events, retail locations, and in neighborhoods (including field canvassing and outdoor outreach) you’ll highlight urgent needs and show how everyone can take action. F2F fundraising allows real-time engagement, builds understanding, and drives meaningful, lasting progress.

• Competitive base pay ($25/hour at 8 donors + $3 an hour for each additional donor) + uncapped bonus opportunities
• Full-time positions available. Part-time is available only if you can complete the first two weeks of training full-time, then work a part-time schedule that includes Saturdays and Sundays

• Engage the public with passion and professionalism while representing Threshold Giving and Boston Children’s Hospital (BCH)
• Share impactful stories and programs to recruit new monthly partners
• Meet goals while maintaining accurate records and a positive presence

Qualifications

• Genuine passion for children’s health and creating positive change
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable working outdoors and interacting with the public daily in Brighton/Boston
• Reliable and self-motivated; prior sales/fundraising experience is a plus but not required
• Ability to complete two weeks of full-time training; weekend availability required for part-time schedules
• No prior fundraising or canvassing experience is required as paid training is provided
